Holy Savior Children & Youth Development Association (HSCYDA) is a Non Governmental, non-profitable and non-religious secular Organization, established by 25 dedicated volunteers who were experienced professionals working in different social welfare organizations so far. Though the organization established on 2004, it was legally registered by the Ministry of Justice on July 14, 2005 on registration number 2213.
Heartily touched man and women initiate its establishment, who for a long time has been providing care and protection to Orphans (lost their one or both parents) and vulnerable children through providing basic needs, shelter, medication, Education, and psychological and social support.
Meanwhile, we have shared our vision, aspirations & practices of similar interest and later Joined together with our efforts through contributing individual's experience of supporting Orphan and Vulnerable Children in more comprehensive, organized and sustained ways by establishing organization. Finally, HSCYDA was born with community's participation.
Committed and dedicated to working with and enhancing the well-being of marginalized sections of the population, particularly unprivileged children and young people, specially women, through the provision of basic health services including RH, Family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention ,care and support, education and training, self empowerment and income generating opportunities etc.
The organization mainly started its Activities on basic Education (formal & non-formal education) and for orphans & Vulnerable children and it was started i (Rural & remote area) and 350 in sponsorship program in Awash Melkasa & Wonji. Moreover, HSCYDA provided institutional care & support for orphans, abandoned & vulnerable children in Adama town.
Due to our strong effort, progress and dedication, in our project areas of Oromia Region, Adama City Administration Council awarded to Holy Savior 3,012 sq.m land of previous non-functioned public School at kebele 05. Besides to this, currently we are constructed school in Wonji town with the land of 4,500 sq.m provided by wonji town municipality. So that, we have planned enhancing the number of beneficiaries children up to 1200 in the near future.
